Education is the backbone of a society. The backbones of Meenakshi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Thiru. S. Kaliappan, M.A., M.Phil, Retd. Professor, MDT Hindu College, Pettai and Tmt. S. Parvathi, M.A., M.Ed., Retd. Teacher, Municipal Girls Higher Secondary School, Pettai, had the vision of uplifting the society and improving the lives of the forthcoming generations. Providing proper education to the kids could only be the primary concern of any parent. Realising the need to address this concern and in the pursuit of transforming the lives of young students, the eminent educationalist duo with their indomitable will, sowed the seeds of the noble project Siva Nursery and Primary School at their residential premises. Soon, the school embraced the children of the neighborhood into its fold thus widening into a broader family.

With the focus of providing quality education in English medium, the founders designed the school to create a conducive environment for the young learners. Echoing the adage, “Good start is half the job done”, the school which was started with limited resources has succeeded in consolidating and strengthening its position in the field of education. With unstinted support of the founders, the school continues to spread light ever since its inception.
